Ultimate Marketing Tactic #4: Imply Demand

Units in Donald Trumps condominium development were not selling well at all. He decided to implement an Ultimate marketing Tactic and imply the value of the condos were increasing.  The rising prices caught the attention of condo speculators and potential tenants, stimulating an actual increase in demand resulting in selling out the tower.

Sales were so rapid that the building almost sold out within a few months of the initial offering. In response to the unexpectedly robust demand, the tower’s developers, Louis Cappelli and Donald J. Trump, raised prices several times in the ensuing months. Greg Rand said the rush to buy Trump condos was as feverish as a sale in a department store.
